Top Records since Y2K (A biased opinion)

I know, I know. A "best of" list is a little cliché. But the ‘00’s have produced some great music. And I think it is important for us to review and reflect and the quality work that has been produced recently. One cannot live on Zeppelin records forever.
If we don’t stop and smell the roses, we may be forced to endure another Paul McCartney solo record or Stones live album. Ugghhh. When will the madness end?
I also like these sort of lists because I get lots of great ideas for new music. Plus, it helps me know where to start with a certain band. I hope I can do the same for you. So here goes. My top 20 records since Y2K.
1. Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (April 23, 2002)
2. Ryan Adams - Cold Roses (May 3, 2005)
3. Iron & Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days (March 23, 2004)
4. Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake It's Morning (January 25, 2005)
5. Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Production of Eggs (February 8, 2005)
6. Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine (October 4, 2005)
7. Gillian Welch - Soul Journey (June 3, 2003)
8. Wilco - A Ghost Is Born (June 22, 2004)
9. Ryan Adams – Heartbreaker (September 5, 2000)
10. Damien Rice – O (June 10, 2003)
11. Radiohead - In Rainbows (January 1, 2008)
12. Ben Harper - Both Sides of the Gun (March 21, 2006)
13. The Little Willies - Self Titled (March 7, 2006)
14. Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams (March 1, 2005)
15. Elliot Smith - From a Basement on the Hill (October 19, 2004)
16. The Garden State Soundtrack (August 10, 2004)
17. Jeff Tweedy - Sunken Treasure: Live in the Pacific Northwest (October 24, 2006)
18. Old 97's - Drag It Up (July 27, 2004)
19. Bruce Springsteen - Devils & Dust (April 26, 2005)

MYSTRO MUSIC
No Dance, Electronica, Hip-Hop, Funk, Ska, Grime, electro pop, Disco House, Electro Funk or R&B. Those would all have to be on my list.
I Appreciate Zepplin but agree, I like new music.

Music, like all art, is subjective. While I do not find any of these genres compelling (anymore, at least), your entitled to your opinion. That is what makes art so worthwhile - we all see it with our own perspectives and take something different away.
Funny, I almost left this one off - due to its inclusion of pre-Y2K music (Nick Drake, Simon & Garfunkel). But it defined a new genre that was born this decade. Therefore, worthy of inclusion.
