I recently heard a Tiny Vipers tune on XM. I have to admit I am a sucker for striped down acoustic guitars and female singers. From Joni Mitchell to Kaki King, there is just something about a woman and an acoustic guitar…
Tiny Vipers is Jesy Fortino from Seattle, Washington. Just her and her haunting vocals and eerie sounding acoustic guitar. The songs are very minimalist and almost avant-garde in there construction (or should I say, lack of conventional construction).
So if that is your cup of tea (or pint of Fosters), give Tiny Vipers a spin. Her sub-pop site has a couple of free MP3 and a couple of cool videos for those who would like a sample.
