Opening Rant (or how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb)

My name is ACE and I am a disgruntled GenX type with a taste for the eclectic and un-predictable. Does that make me qualified to write a blog? Hell Yes! (at least that what this website told me).
To lend a little credence to my opinions, I am a musician (of sorts), myself. I have been playing guitar for almost five years now.
I grew up on Grampa Rock in the 1980s, lost faith in the industry in the 1990s, and then discovered Wilco in the 2000s (and with Jeff, an new found appreciation of contemporary rock).
Anyway, I will endeavor to provide pearls of wisdom and miscellaneous comments regarding our current State of Music (it is and interesting time, no?).
